Rear mount ladders range from 79’ to 123’ and although each model can be highly customized, each includes unparalleled strength with up to a 2.5:1 safety factor. BETTER PERFORMANCE THROUGH BETTER IDEAS

KME'S Storefront Blitz^TM feature allows for a first-floor interior attack with the aerial device all while the monitor to travel up to 30 degrees above horizontal. Along with the extended monitor travel, the aerial is capable of going 8 degrees below horizontal, giving the fire department the flexibility to get the water where it is needed. In addition, special attention was given to the height and width of the ladder section dimensions. With the deepest and widest fly section dimensions you can climb with confidence.

HIGHER TIP LOADS AND SHORTER OUTRIGGER STANCE

Leaving nothing to chance, KME aerials are engineered to carry the highest tip loads in the industry while being subjected to winds of 50 miles per hour along with a 1/4" of ice build upon the entire aerial structure. KME aerial designs are independent third-party P.E. certified. Aerial Configurations are available with 750lb. tip loads with outrigger stances as tight as 14' center to center, so if you can open the cab doors, you can fully operate the aerial.

SAFETY IN CLIMBING

Regardless if you are climbing to a roof for ventilation or descending the ladder with a stokes basket, KME designs every rear mount aerial with safety in mind. Our ladders are engineered to provide a clear walkway so there is no need to worry about excessive cables or wiring installed in your climbing path.

KME’s new standard rung covers feature an aggressive gripping surface for both your hands and feet, regardless of the weather conditions. The use of traditional rubber covers and cumbersome metal bands can obstruct your climbing path and create a slippery surface. Each rung cover also features photo luminescent bands that help orient you to your climbing path in low lighting conditions. The luminescent portions of the rung covers will continue to glow for up to 20 hours after they are exposed to light.

If you desire additional illumination KME also offers full length LED Lumabar Pathfinder™ walkway illumination lights. The red LED lights are designed to be easy on the eyes to allow excellent night vision, feature a low amp draw on your electrical system and provide total illumination of the aerial walkway for ultimate safety in any condition.
